A limited number of rooms are available at a low cost in
Seminar House III, completed in 2002. Each room can accommodate two
persons but will be assigned as single rooms for conference
participants. Each fully furnished unit consists of three or four tatami-mat
rooms, with traditional Japanese-style futon bedding. The kitchen,
dining/living room area, toilets, showers and cable TV are shared by
occupants. Each room has a desk, table, closet, and air conditioner.
Approx. 20 minutes walk to the conference site.

To participants using Kansai Gaidai Seminar House III:
Check-in time is from 15:00 to 23:00. The rooms have bedding (futons) but do NOT have towels, soap, toothbrushes and other toiletry items. Please bring your own. No drinking of alcohol or smoking is permitted there. If you are going to go directly to Seminar House from Hirakata-shi station, please take a bus (bus route number 12 or 13) from North bus depot #3 and get off at 'Katahoko'. A business-type hotel in the centre of Hirakata near
Hirakata-shi station. 74 rooms, non-smoking rooms available. The
restaurant serves lunch during the day, and course and a la carte dinner
in the evening. This hotel was completely renovated in 2006. Approx. 15
minutes walk or 10 minutes bus ride to the university.

A good quality hotel, in front of Moriguchi station. 175 rooms, 26

Japanese cuisine) and entertainment facilities, including a karaoke
room. The biggest and most renowned hotel in the Hirakata-Moriguchi
area. Approx. 15 minutes train ride to Hirakata-shi station.
Access from KIX
Buses bound for Hirakata city leave from the 1st floor (International
Arrivals). Tickets machines are available outside the building (1,600
yen, 70-80 minutes ride to Keihan Moriguchi station).

A large, good quality hotel located in the city of Osaka
near Osaka Castle. 214 rooms, 26 non-smoking rooms. This hotel has an
indoor pool, fitness gym, jet bath and sauna, 4 restaurants and a bar.
Approx. 20 minutes train ride to Hirakata-shi station. A single train
ticket to Hirakata-shi station will be provided by the hotel.
